Research visit to China examines corporate heritage in international education

Dr Chen and Professor Balmer – both members of the Centre for Research in Marketing  in Brunel Business School -recently undertook a research visit to Dulwich College in China. The visit forms part of the first stage of a project examining the significance of corporate heritage in the internationalisation of educational provision.

Both Professor Balmer and Dr Chen were invited to visit Dulwich College Suzhou by its Master, Mr. John Todd. Dulwich College is one of England’s leading public schools and is member of the Eaton Group of public schools. The college was established in 1619 and has recently opened up colleges in Asia. Prominent former students include former bank of England Governor Sir Edward George, Sir Raymond Chandler, Sir Ernest Shakleton and Sir P G Woodhouse.

The Centre for Research in Marketing enjoys an international profile for its scholarship in the corporate heritage field.
