Brunel Business School celebrates academic partnership with CILT

Brunel Business School is celebrating becoming an Academic Partner to the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, CILT(UK), the professional body for those working in transport and logistics.

On Wednesday 6 February, Donna Cresswell, Chief Operating Officer at CILT(UK) visited the Business School, which is part of Brunel University, and unveiled a new plaque to mark the partnership between the two organisations. The major chartered institute has thousands members in the UK, and the relationship between Brunel and CILT(UK) strengthens Brunel Business School’s links with industry.

Head of Brunel Business School, Professor Zahir Irani said:

“The partnership with the CILT will enable our students to participate in forums, special interest groups and events, giving them a real insight into the transport and logistics management sector and enabling them to put theory into practice. We are extremely proud to become an Academic Partner and add to the significant industry links we can offer as a School.”

Brunel Business School is the home of the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management programme, one of a small number of programmes in the United Kingdom to receive accreditation from the CILT and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) – the two major institutions in the field. Students completing the course are also eligible to apply for a free CILT membership, offering a further range of benefits and services.
