This year nine brilliant students from BBS were chosen from all over the world to receive a scholarship towards their tuition fees. MBA students Xiaolei Guo and Hongyan Zhao from China and MSc Applied Corporate Brand Management student Xiaocan Wang also from China plus BSc Business and Management student Sara Mansoor Zafar from Pakistan all received a regional scholarship towards their tuition fees. BSc Business Management student Michael Oluwadolapo Carzim from Nigeria and MBA student Mohamed Mahmoud Abdelkhalek from Egypt were awarded Alumni Scholarships. Both awards are based on academic merit and students are chosen from a wide range of nationalities and subject areas. A total of 19 students from across the university were awarded with six going to BBS students. The scholarships are awarded by a panel with representatives from all Schools.
Three other MBA students were awarded the Home/EU scholarships – Elizabeth Huang, Flavia De Facendis and Funmi Obileye.
In November the scholarship winners were invited to a formal dinner with Brunel’s Vice Chancellor Professor Chris Jenks to officially welcome them to the university. The scholarship winners were presented with a certificate, had the chance to meet their Heads of School and also enjoyed some delicious food.
